Soxhlet-type extraction apparatus with a Friedrich condenser, used for the continuous extraction of solids with a suitable solvent. Kimax extraction apparatus has an improved design with a protected siphon tube, an enlarged vapor tube and sloping seals to prevent the trapping of liquid. Joints connect the condenser to the extractor and the extractor to the flask. Kimax Soxlet Flat Bottom uses paper, alundum or 586500 fritted glass extraction thimbles (not supplied).
